Flat roof refurbishment
Due to a short lead-in period and extended delivery times for the insulation required as part of a complex hybrid roofing scheme, DH Roofing Ltd had just two weeks within the six-week school holiday to complete the roofing works. Challenges & Solutions
The project presented a significant programme challenge from the outset, with delays to the insulation and a complex hybrid roofing specification leaving DH Roofing Ltd with just two weeks to complete the works during the school’s six-week summer holiday.
To meet the deadline, our team worked exceptionally long hours, completing 15-hour days for 14 consecutive days, including weekends.
The project was also heavily affected by the weather, with approximately six days experiencing intermittent rain and two full working days being lost entirely due to adverse conditions.
Despite these challenges, our team maintained focus on quality, safety and progress throughout the project. The VCL and hard-edge details were completed ahead of the insulation arriving, allowing the team to maximise productivity and minimise further delays once materials became available.
Through careful planning, long working days and a committed team effort, DH Roofing Ltd successfully completed the roofing package within the extremely demanding timeframe.
