Charley’s career began on the tools, where he developed extensive hands-on experience across pitched and flat roofing systems, carpentry and traditional leadwork. This strong practical background underpins his approach to operational management and enables him to provide clear technical direction and practical problem-solving across live sites.
Charley is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the business, overseeing projects from mobilisation through to completion. His role includes programme planning, labour and subcontractor coordination, quality control, health and safety leadership and direct client liaison on site. He works closely with the Commercial Director to ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed programmes, budgets and contractual requirements.
With extensive experience across public and private sector projects, Charley has been instrumental in the delivery of large-scale housing refurbishment programmes, education and healthcare environments, commercial and industrial units, leisure facilities and specialist refurbishment works. He is particularly experienced in managing occupied buildings, live environments and phased programmes where safety, communication and programme control are critical.
A strong advocate for training and continuous improvement, Charley holds a broad range of vocational and supervisory qualifications. He takes an active role in mentoring operatives and supervisors, maintaining high standards of workmanship and safe working practices across the business.
